In Transit

Stuck in London for a day (I know I know, what a terrible life).
So I will find out what all the fuss is about this World Cup Football (soccer) stuff. TVs are tuned in to Angola v. Portugual according to Brad-the-soccer-man.

The reason I'm here is that the British Airways agents just do not believe me (or even the American Embassy officials) when I told them that State Department staff is permitted to get their visas right at the airport when they arrive in Ghana. The British airline guy lectured that "Americans are the biggest sticklers about these regulations sir."

Ah well. An evening in London is not a terrible thing.

So off I go.
My plan is to be in Accra, Ghana tomorrow - let's hope that pans out. I need the cooperation of the Ghanaian Embassy in Ghana and British Airways to pull this off. No sweat!

Peace,
-Victor
