London Day 2
I thought this blog was about travel in Ghana?
One more night in London - and then I will be in Ghana tomorrow evening - for real this time!
So, this morning I went to the Ghanian Embassy and finally got my visa.
Then, I caught up with Stanford friend, a fellow student of security studies who is also a world-class tour guide of the city.
The most fruitful trip in our center-London walking tour was the visit to a wonderful store full of travel books. My friend chastised me for not yet having a first aid kit or a mosquito net for my upcoming West African adventures.
I bought these items (just in case I make it to some rural areas) and also purchased nice fold maps for Sierra Leone, Liberia and Ghana. I hope I get to do some traveling at least to Liberia, but we shall see.
So here I sit in north Oxford, about to depart for some Lebanese food.
