Weekend Outlook

Ghana Telecom was merciful on my b-day, I got to speak with family as my house phone suddenly started to work again! The B-day festivities continue this evening - with dinner in Osu at the Chinese place that is downstairs from the Indian place. Same cooks, two specialties? We shall see how this goes.

Also, there's a group of Ghanaian high school students who will soon be traveling to spend a semester (or is is it a year?) with exchange families in the USA. I can't wait to meet the crew. I am going to hang out with them this evening and stuff ourselves with the cooking of our Management section chief.

In the weekend ahead: I will return to the hills near Aburi to do some hiking with a co-worker; a few pick-up games of tennis; listen to someone make a pitch about investing in a farm here (people just don't understand that I am money-less. I think American = rich / access to credit markets in many eyes)

Ghanaian entrepreneurship is an interesting topic - I'll cover it in my next post. I have literally been sent business plans from Ghanaians with an idea for profit; from people I have just met too. It's wild.
