'REX-ahl-wahr Concert (last night)

Okay, so I cannot pronounce this dude's name but it sounds like 'REX-ahl-wahr. I went to a concert last night at the Alliance Francaise. The AF is a French school in town that gives language & culture classes and hosts musical guests on Wednesday night. So apparently this dude, the main event, is real well-known to at least everyone here (if not the world, given how out-of-the-loop I can be). The brother is quite a performer and had hundreds of people off their feet jammin.' I was told by a friend that usually the Wed-night performances are not as packed, but that for this artist, everyone showed up.

The music took a whole lot of forms, some of it was definitely highlife jamaica. Other times it was straight up Asante songs. The beats the beats the beats were banging.

So that is how I spent my after-work time yesturday - it just might become a Wednesday tradition. Accra is so hype...now this is a town for the young adult!
